Some students feel that mathematics is less fun because the lack basic knowledge of which leads to a confidence in learning. Especially during COVID-19 outbreak, distance learning was needed, including mathematics, and many had difficulties Learning arise can interfere with subsequent process have significant impact on students' academic performance mathematics. This study aims determine at Junior High School 13 Surakarta. The method used this research descriptive qualitative. Qualitative describe student pandemic system. subjects were eighth grade Data collection techniques are interviews observation. interview guided free then analyzed using an interactive model. Based results analysis caused by several factors, namely internal external factors. Internal those come from within student, include interest motivation take part online While factors students, understanding material provided teacher rather than detail, unstable internet network, environment does not support learning, motivation, encouragement parents or closest family.
